Financing export sales is a critical step to ensuring international sales are completed successfully. Many exporters and community banks are unsure of what may be required in order to support international sales. The US Department of Commerce (U.S. DOC) and the Connecticut Development Authority (CDA) have teamed up to create a workshop for small and medium sized companies and bankers to learn how to successfully finance export sales. CDA and the U.S. DOC aim to help small businesses and banks find and exploit overseas markets.
The workshop will include a panel discussion on how to bring financeable export sales to banks, as well as State and Federal funding programs available to U.S. exporters. Attendees will be presented with sample transactions, and will be given an opportunity to discuss their questions in one-on-one meetings with export finance experts. Speakers from State and Federal agencies will advise on how best to finance export sales, including the structuring of the sale and risk evaluation.
The $20 registration fee includes on-site parking, a networking reception and the workshop. For more information please visit www.ctcda.com or www.buyusa.gov/connecticut. To register, please click HERE or call (860) 638-6950.
